RIP

Just recently, a famous fashion designer died. Now, fashion might not be your interest. But still, a little extra knowledge wouldn't be bad. Besides, he's a phenomena. So, this post is dedicated to his works. And hopefully, you would see the beauty in fashion and not be an idiot by calling it s***.

Above are some of the amazing designs he had. Some may look just bizarre but this is fashion!

RIP McQueen
We will miss you

Intrapersonal

a. Who would you want to be friends with in the novel? Explain.

Hmm... I contemplated between Boo, Atticus and Scout.

And I think I shall choose Atticus.

Atticus is a very smart person. I wouldnt mind having an elder advising me on the perils of life. After all, he has 'eaten more salt than the rice I have eaten'. He could just be the stepfather I never had.

Besides, he seems like a very interesting man. Just look at his parenting style. Very unique. I like special people. Dont ask me why. :) He has very special views on certain issues and has a vast knowledge. More of such people in my world wouldnt hurt.

Well, thats about it.

Linguistic

1.You have conducted an interview with one of the characters in TKAM. Write out the interview transcript, taking note to demonstrate the essence of the character and his/her point of view.

Me: Hello Arthur.

Arthur: [shy and soft] Hi.

Me: I love what you're wearing!

Arthur: Thanks. [Bashful smile] Its Prada.

Me: Lovely. Now, I heard of your scandalous past... Mine telling us more?

Arthur: Erm... Its really horrid. I had a father who was a psycho foot washing baptist and I suffered much under him. Can you imagine it? Being locked all day?! Its ridiculous.

Me: My most sincere condolences... Hmm, what did you feel about discrimination?

Arthur: Which kind? Racial, gender?

Me: Racial Prejudice.

Arthur: I condone such racial discrimination. Its bad. All people should be equal and such discrimination is really bad for you.

Me: I agree totally. Lets hope karma gets them soon.

Arthur: I think all humans have this evil side. Which is maybe why I like children. Those full of innocence, yet to be exposed to the evils of society.

Me: Ahh. Thats really interesting. Thank you Arthur.

Arthur: [Smiles]

Multiple Intelligence Test

I hate boring titles. They're just so... so... mood dampening.

Anyway, the test results were...

I was a linguistic and interpersonal person! In short, it just meant I am more able in the languages and human relations. Something like that.

Hmm.. I knew I was linguistic since a long time ago. Actually, since I got a 64 for Math in Primary 5. I am definitely NOT a mathematical person. Well, I intend pursuing a career and further my studies in the arts stream and hopefully be some rich professor/tutor in the future.

Ok, back to my results... As for intrapersonal... Hmm.. To certain extent yes, I am sociable and I am willing to chat to almost anyone. Evidently, I am a more extroverted and noisy kind of person.

In a whole, I work better in groups. Somehow. And I enjoy using pictorial diagrams etc. which aids me in my learning. I can use my intrapersonal skills and get invaluable advice from teachers and seniors too. :)

So, thats about it. Next 2 posts are the serious stuff. Stay tuned!

Fame

We all seek the fame.We love it.

Who doesn't enjoy attention? Being in the limelight. Basking in people's envy. We have to admit, a part of us does love the fam
e.

I cant really give a proper definition to Fame myself. So, I relied on dictionary.com, here's what they said:
widespread reputation;public eminence
. We seek fame in many ways, participating in competitions, trying to win prizes and getting the rare chance of being in front the whole student population, smiling and bowing when your name is called. Fame is what makes people see you in a different light. Be it positive or negative.

Andy Warhol, an American known for him being a leading figure in pop art, once said "Everyone will be famous for 15 minutes."

He's a really interesting man but let me focus on the quote. So, we all have 15 minutes of fame in our lives. Some people clasp onto these 15 minutes like diamonds. Just look at the many Tiger Woods mistresses. I highly doubt all of them really copulated with him, some may just be desperately holding on to their 15 minutes of fame, hoping to open more paths for themselves, be it more interviews etc.

Sometimes, in the pursuit of fame, it is inevitable for some conflicts. Life isnt one smooth sailing trip. We will be bound to meet some enemies, get backstabbed, get sabotaged etc. And through this rough experiences, we wisen up and grow tougher. And sometimes, we take the offensive, as a defensive measure. With increasing popularity, we arent sure who we can trust. Everything gets rather superficial. True friends are rare.

So, we can constantly seek fame, and sometimes, at any cost. However, at the end of the day, we would eventually be left with no family, no friends, nothing. And that is when we will realise, what we sought wasn't what we wanted all along
.
So, what is your perception of fame? Is it similar to mine?
